As it is very well known among pragmatist scholars, Dewey considered that the cure for the ills of democracy is more democracy. The current crisis of European politics forces us to re-think the meaning of this idea in the present context. The role of the European institutions, the discredit of politicians and of the traditional hegemonic parties, the rates of unemployment –mainly youths- will be analyzed from concepts such as inclusion, equality, civic education, community, inquiry, and others that have characterized how Dewey understood democracy. The panel purposes to open a dialogue between participants of different countries around the subject how to deepen democracy and challenge the crisis from pragmatist perspective.
